Dr. Shaun Dadjoo, DMD, MS, ABO, was recruited to the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, — the #1 ranked orthodontic program in the world considered more prestigious that Harvard, UCLA, or USC. His training covered everything from simple tooth alignment to complex surgical cases, craniofacial growth, TMJ disorders, airway-focused orthodontics, and cleft lip and palate treatment. It is among the most comprehensive orthodontic educations available anywhere.
After completing his residency Dr. Dadjoo pursued and achieved board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics— a distinction held by fewer than one-third of orthodontists nationwide. As an ABO Diplomate he has demonstrated clinical mastery beyond what graduation alone requires.
He is also a published researcher. His work has appeared in leading peer-reviewed journals including CRANIO and the Journal of the California Dental Association. He authored the first published clinical trial on a novel technique to whiten teeth during Invisalign treatment. He has been nominated as Resident of the Year by the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, earned first prize in the College of Diplomates of the ABO Case Competition, and received national recognition from the American Dental Education Association.
He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the California Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and was selected by the CAO to serve on its Communications Committee — a peer-nominated appointment recognizing his professional standing and commitment to advancing the field.

THE TRAINING
What 10,000 Hours of Specialist Training Actually Means
An orthodontic residency at a CODA-accredited program requires a minimum of two to three years of full-time, hospital-based clinical training. At the Eastman Institute that training encompasses the full spectrum of orthodontic complexity — from interceptive treatment in growing children to surgical orthodontics in adults, from simple crowding to complex interdisciplinary cases involving oral surgeons, periodontists, and prosthodontists.
The result is a doctor who has seen everything, treated everything, and knows the difference between a case that can be handled with a standard Invisalign prescription and case that requires something more. General dentists receive very little orthodontic training in dental school. Some complete a weekend Invisalign certification course. Dr. Dadjoo completed 10,000+ hours. That gap is real and it shows in the results.

Dadjoo Orthodontics has been part of the Porter Ranch community since Dr. Jeffrey C. Liu opened these doors decades ago. When Dr. Liu entrusted his practice to Dr. Dadjoo, he wasn’t just passing along a patient list — he was passing along a relationship with a community. Families who came here as children are now bringing in their own children. That continuity is something we don’t take lightly.
Community Commitment
Dr. Dadjoo has reinvested more than $200,000 into the local community — sponsoring Porter Ranch Community School, Granada Hills Charter School, OYA Volleyball Club, and dozens of other local programs. He launched the Dadjoo Orthodontics Give Kids a Smile Scholarship, which awards three fully sponsored orthodontic treatments annually to deserving students nominated by their teachers. Dadjoo Orthodontics received a formal recommendation from the City of Los Angeles for 15 years of community service.

3D Printing — Our in-office 3D printer allows us to fabricate custom orthodontic appliances, surgical guides, and retainers with a level of precision and speed that traditional lab workflows simply cannot match.
